Mother’s Day Celebrations Full of Love and Togetherness
Our first Mother’s Day celebration at Caraway House was heartwarming and filled with love, laughter, and plenty of cherished moments. Families were invited to spend the day with their loved ones, and what better way to celebrate than with a Champagne afternoon tea served in style?
Our talented dining team prepared a delicious spread of traditional finger sandwiches, a huge platter of meat, cheese, crackers and fruit, homemade cakes and pastries, and freshly baked scones, complete with clotted cream and jam. Everything was beautifully presented on tiered cake stands and served with pots of tea, glasses of bubbly, and plenty of smiles all around.
The atmosphere was made even more special by a live performance from the fabulous singer Clare, who brought energy and joy into the room with her music. There was no shortage of singalongs, and it didn’t take long before a few residents and guests were up for a dance. It was lovely to see their beaming faces as they spent quality time with their loved ones.
Residents received heartfelt cards and thoughtful gifts from their families, from hand-picked flowers to homemade treats; each gesture was a lovely reminder of the close bonds we’re proud to support and encourage here at Caraway House. For many, it was a chance to reflect, reminisce, and celebrate not just Mother’s Day but the lifelong love and strength our residents have given their families.
At our care home in Selsey, we know how important it is to maintain family connections. This special day was not only about recognising the incredible mothers living with us but also about giving families a chance to make new memories together. It was a beautiful example of how we strive to make every day feel like home—through meaningful experiences, caring support, and thoughtful details that make all the difference.
Our team worked hard behind the scenes to ensure everyone was relaxed and well looked after throughout the day. Their efforts were deeply appreciated by residents and families alike, many of whom expressed how touched they were by the warmth of the occasion.
