Here at Caraway House Care Home, one of our many passions is ensuring that our residents get the most out of every day, encouraging our residents to keep doing what makes them happy, whether thats walking through our gardens, socialising with friends and family or stretching their legs whilst visiting the local area of Selsey.

Our Activity Coordinators have a great time in creating a range of enjoyable activities for our residents, whether thats in and around the home or out and about; Caraway House is in an ideal location, that if a family member wants to come along, there are public transport options nearby for our residents and guests to take advantage from.

Every Day is Different

When you stay with us at Caraway House, you chose if you’d like to be active or spend your day getting creative; there is never a dull moment here. We believe that no two days should be the same, therefore we make it as fun, different and exciting for all residents.

We value our residents’ freedom and ability to take responsibility in all situations that they’re presented with, therefore a supervisor doesn’t always oversee the activities, yet they’re never too far away. However, we always have a member of our team on hands for events or day trips and special excursions. We always like to encourage our residents to take full responsibility for their lives, doing what they want to do to ensure they live a happy, fulfilled life.

Relocating to Caraway House means your routines will stay consistent as they have always have been and our residents can participate in whatever activities they wish to.

All of our activities are all optional, so if our residents don’t want to participate, they don’t have to. All activities are meant for enjoyment and there are no repercussions if a resident tries something that isn’t for them.

Due to having an activities and entertainment programme, every day will be enjoyed to the maximum, all activities are scheduled on a daily basis, ensuring our residents enjoy something that suits their interests. We also introduce new activities as often as possible to make sure that everyone in our community can look forward to something new and exciting.

From day trips shopping and tourist attractions or activities taking place within the comfort of our home; there is something for everyone. Both residents and any family visiting will discover a wealth of things to do in and around Selsey.

We also maintain a great collection of books, magazines and arts and craft supplies for moments of fun and inspiration. Additionally, for those seeking a more sociable atmosphere, residents can enjoy live entertainment, quizzes and games.

It’s important for us to organise as many activities and events for our residents to ensure they can continue to pursue their interests and hobbies. We understand it can’t be easy for residents to make the decision to move into a care home, so we want to make it as enjoyable as possible.
