Caraway House Care Home proudly welcomed new staff members on Monday 1st July, the new team members were warmly greeted by the Manager and the Head of Departments, setting a friendly and professional tone for the day.

The initial day was dedicated to team-building and getting acquainted. Gathered in one of the home's charming dining rooms, the staff enjoyed tea and biscuits while chatting and forming connections. This emphasis on communication is seen as vital for the team's ability to provide high-quality care to the residents. As both staff and residents transition into their new home, these early interactions will foster a sense of community and belonging.

Many of the new staff members are local residents of Selsey; already integral parts of the community. Caraway House has created numerous job opportunities for locals, enhancing the town's employment landscape while establishing a supportive environment for those in need of care.

The afternoon featured engaging activities led by Chloe and Trena. A general knowledge quiz encouraged lively discussions and teamwork, as the staff were divided into groups of six. The second activity involved a fun and interactive game where each team member described famous personalities on cards, prompting others to guess their identities. These activities not only helped break the ice but also promoted teamwork and communication.

The positive energy from the first day extended throughout the week, leaving the team excited and enthusiastic about their new roles. The staff will undergo a comprehensive two-week induction period, covering all necessary training to ensure they are well-prepared to provide exceptional care.

Caraway House Care Home is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for both residents and staff, making this first week a promising start to a bright future. For more information on our home and care services, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us today.
