Nursing Care

Each type of nursing care provided will vary depending on the needs and requirements of each individual. However, here at Caraway House Care Home, we’re able to provide a range of different nursing services from wound care and medication management, to helping with activities for daily living and support with any physical disabilities, mental heal conditions and sensory impairments.

• If chronic health conditions get worse, such as heart disease, diabetes or dementia.
• If you or your loved one has difficulty performing daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming or eating.
• If there has been a recent fall, injury, hospitalisation or emergency room visit.
• If there has been significant weight loss or changes in appetite.
• If there has been an increase in confusion or forgetfulness.
• If you or your loved one is having difficulty managing medication or complying with treatment plans.
• If specialised medical equipment or care such as oxygen therapy or wound care is needed.

Our team of qualified and registered nurses will be able to assess the level of care in which is required and provide advice on the care type needed for you or your loved one. It is highly important that when it comes to making the decision to go into a care home, communication is key; especially with family members and the person who is requiring the care, ensuring everyone is involved within the decision making (where possible).

Caraway House Care Home is responsible for ensuring everyone is safe within their home and we achieve this by making sure adequate staffing levels are provided, nursing staff are trained and qualified, medication management and protocols for infection control are implemented and regular safety audits and assessments are conducted. We also have relevant security measures in place to prevent any unauthorised access, protecting the safety of all of our residents.
